Today we issued the results of our December 2010 REALTOR® Market Index(RMI) and REALTOR® Price Index (RPI). On a month-to-month basis, both the RMI and the RPI were up compared to November. This is only the second time that both indexes have been up at the same time compared to the month before. Unfortunately, the year-to-year trend remains the same as both indexes were down compared to December 2009.
Here are the highlights:
- REALTOR® Market Index was 19.54. Down 43% from same time last year
- REALTOR® Market Index was up 5.26% from November
- REALTOR® Price Index was 47.70. Down 7.2% from same time last year
- REALTOR® Price Index was up 6.61% from November
The “Hot Topic” question asked Realtor® members who responded to the survey what issues in 2010 had the biggest impact on the market.
