A week from today, Friday, August 3, 2012, is the deadline for Massachusetts REALTORS® to enter (or nominate another REALTOR®) for MAR’s annual Good Neighbor Award Program to recognize REALTORS® for their community activism.
The original post is below:
We are now accepting applications for the 2012 Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award. The deadline to enter is August 3, 2012.
The award program is open to all Massachusetts REALTORS®. See below for more details, but this isn’t a time to be shy! (ok, if you are shy, ask someone to nominate you). If you have done something worth recognizing, you should enter. Remember, it’s all about your charity (and they will receive a grant if you do win!)

About the Award:
In 2004, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) established the Good Neighbor Awards program to recognize REALTORS® for their community activism. The award is to be presented annually to those who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to community service through volunteerism and civic and charitable contributions that improve the lives of local residents and make their community a better place to live.
Entrants for the award may engage in a broad range of eligible activities that might include, but may not be limited to, volunteer work involving affordable housing issues, educational programs, youth-related activities, or any other civic or charitable activity that improves the lives of local residents or the community at-large.
