I was out and about with my family this past Sunday and it was another 90+ degree day here in Massachusetts. And on this hot day, I did see plenty of open house signs. This got me to thinking, “do 90+ degree summer days impact the attendance at open houses???”
I don’t know if I would be in the mood to go out and look at houses in this type of weather. However, I also know that I’ve never been looking for a house in the summer and that would probably make a big difference in my decision making.
What do you think? As a Realtor, do you notice a drop in attendance when the temps go way up? Is there some factor that trumps weather all together? Are market conditions more important than weather conditions? Do homes with central air conditioning have an advantage? We’d love to hear what you have to say.
