Today we issued the results of the September 2011 REALTOR(R) Market Index (RMI) and the REALTOR(R) Price Index (RPI). The September RMI was up 11.58% from the September 2010 RMI. This is the 2nd straight monthly year-over-year increase since April-May 2010. On a month-to-month basis the September RMI was down from August. The REALTOR(R) Price Index was down from the September 2010 and also down from this past August.
This month’s “Hot Topic” question asked REALTOR(R) members what they thought the impact of lower FHA and GSE loan limits would have on the Massachusetts Real Estate Market.

* REALTOR® Market Index in September was down 24.28% from August
* REALTOR® Price Index in September was 37.38. Down 12.44% from the same time last year
* REALTOR® Price Index in September was down 6.35% from August
