Today we issued the results of our December 2011 and year-end REALTOR(R) Market Index (RMI) and REALTOR(R) Price Index (RPI). For the 5th straight month the RMI was up over the same time last year. On a month-to-month basis the RMI was up compared to November.
The REALTOR(R) Price Index was also up compared to the same time last year and up from November.
Comparing all of 2011 vs. 2010, both the RMI and RPI were down in 2011 compared to 2010.
This month’s “Hot Topic” question asked REALTOR(R) members about the impact the unseasonably warm and dry weather in November and December had on the market.

Here are the highlights:
* REALTOR® Market Index in December was 28.28. Up 44.74% from the same time last year
* REALTOR® Market Index in December was up 12% from November
* REALTOR® Price Index in December was 48.51. Up 1.7% from the same time last year
* REALTOR® Price Index in December was up 9.4% from November
