This is the March edition of our “Five Questions With…Podcast”. Our guest this month is 2011 REALTOR Magazine “30-Under-30” honoree and MAR member Joanne Taranto.
Taranto was the only REALTOR from Massachusetts to be recognized as one of the 30 rising stars in the real estate industry under the age of 30. She works for Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty in Weston, MA as part of the Tom & Joanne Team.
5QW February 2012: Show Notes:
Joanne’s “30-Under-30” write up:
She was tagged by the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® for its Leadership Academy Class of 2011.
When Paleo Taranto transitioned her business from a working-class community to a more affluent market, colleagues and competitors said it would be an impossible move. But this former competitive swimmer, who captained both her school and club teams and attended Boston College on a swimming scholarship, wasn’t daunted. After six months of full-time prospecting, she began to see results. Success reinforced two important lessons: The harder you work, the luckier you get, and persistence pays. Her advice: Don’t try to reinvent the wheel; just put something extra into everything you do.
