Positive start in 2013 as January pending sales up again: 21st straight month

With “Nemo” behind us (for the most part anyway…), today we released the January 2013 pending home sales report for single-family homes and condominiums in Massachusetts. For the 21st straight month, homes put under agreement were up over the same month last year. On a month-to-month basis, single-family pending sales were flat from December 2012 while condominium pending sales were up.

  • Single-family pending home sales were up 18.4% compared to January 2012
  • Single-family month-to-month pending home sales were flat from December 2012
  • Condo pending home sales were up 22.3% compared to January 2012
  • Condo pending month-to-month home sales were down 13% from December 2012
