On February 12, past MAR Charitable Foundation Chair Paul Yorkis and current Charitable Foundation Diane DeCiccio (shown above) appeared before the Joint Committee on Transportation on behalf of bill H. 3136. The proposed legislation would be responsible for lowering the required number of applications needed for a charitable license plate from 1,500 to 500. Many REALTORS® showed their support by attending the hearing and wearing name tags featuring the license plate image while several housing grant recipients wrote letters supporting the passage of the bill. A decision has yet to be reached, but the members in attendance were confident that the hearing was a success. For more information on the license plate initiative or to apply, please click here.
